A PARENTING charity in Kidderminster has gone for gold with its nearly new sales.

NCT Kidderminster Branch is celebrating after its popular sales received a gold standard award.

The accolade, presented by the national charity’s branch fundraising manager, recognises the branch’s sales as among the best in the UK, both in terms of providing a valuable service for parents and achieving fundraising success for charity.

NCT nearly new sales provide parents with the opportunity to buy top quality clothes, toys and accessories for babies to children in nearly new condition at knock down prices.

Parents can also make some cash, while helping the environment, by selling equipment and clothes they no longer need.

Last year, more than 200,000 parents attended an NCT Nearly New Sale, with 50,000 parents selling over a million items.

Felicity Marshall, branch secretary said: “We are delighted to have received this award on behalf of our many dedicated volunteers and proud to be involved with NCT nearly new sales which benefit so many local parents.”

The next sale will be on Saturday, February 4, from 11.30am until 1pm at Stourport High School.
