Wyre Forest schools and colleges below A level national average

WYRE Forest’s schools and colleges failed to meet the national average for A level results according to data released by the Department for Education this week.
Just two centres beat the Worcestershire county average points score per pupil which was 710.3 in 2011. The county average was below the national average for the year which was 745.9.
Baxter College beat the county average with a points score of 731.8, with the number of A level pupils aged between 16 and 18 at 130.
The Stourport High School and Sixth Form Centre entered 193 students achieving an average points score of 712.8 in 2011.
The number of 16 to 18 year olds taking A levels at the Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre was 127. The school achieved an average points school 691.
King Charles I School achieved an average points score of 680.1, with 219 entries.
At Wolverley CofE Secondary School, where 92 students took A levels, 586.6 points were scored.
Kidderminster College’s average points score was 628 having entered 979 16 to 18 year olds and Holy Trinity International School in Kidderminster scored 542 points, entering 22 students.
