Rural courses get off to a good start
7:20am Saturday 4th February 2012

RURAL courses teaching new skills at a farm near Bewdley have got off to a good start.
The Bewdley Development Trust is coordinating 21 courses this year at Uncllys farm.
Spinning and wool craft was one of the first courses in the programme, which kicked off last month (January) and was a sell-out.
Linda Iles, course tutor, said: “We were delighted with the response for the spinning and wool crafts course. Some had never tried spinning before, while others had their own wheel and needed help to get back into it.
“Everyone had a great day and took back new skills.”
Local resident Annie Tauk who took park , added: “It was a fantastic day - perfect.”
A series of six smallholding courses will start, on February 17 for people interested in taking on a smallholding, or wanting to know the basics of animal husbandry.
Ellie Hooper, course co-ordinator said: “places are still available though they are filling up quickly with bookings taken on a first come first served basis”.
People can get further information about course dates and bookings by contacting Bewdley Development Trust on 01299 405516, or by emailing elliehooper@bewdley.org.uk.
